The Qianlong period ran between 1736-1796 and was of the Qing Dynasty. It refers to the time during the reign of Emperor Qianlong. With Chinese marks, it is not always easy to tell which marks are authentic as many later pieces can also bear the same mark.

A very fine white jade and russet carving of a rabbit Qianlong Superbly carved from a smoothly polished stone with an attractive lustre as a plump animal with head slightly raised to its right with long grooved ears, its legs tucked beneath the body, grasping a long leafy lingzhi and chrysanthemum stem in its mouth. 6cm (2 3/8in) long
