AN ARCHAISTIC FIRE-GILT COPPER REPOUSSÃ VESSEL WITH RAMS
China, style of the Tang dynasty – dating to the late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or slightly later. The vessel centered around two rams, the long cylindrical neck of the vessels rising from the joined bodies. The vessel adorned with finely incised archaistic patterns including swirls, spirals and leiwen motifs as well as a Taotie mask featured on either side of the neck.
